Resident Licensing Information

 

Notice to all seeking Trainee status:  Before beginning any education courses, please contact the Oklahoma Real Estate Appraiser Board and request an information packet.  The OREAB phone number is (405) 521-6636.  You may also e-mail the request to their office at reabadmin@insurance.state.ok.us.  If you e-mail or leave the request on their voicemail, please include your name and mailing address.

 

All pre-licensing and upgrade qualifying courses MUST be taken in person.

 
Also, 21 of the required 42 hours of continuing education for your three-year licensing cycle MUST be taken in person.

 
The new course numbering system is as follows:

 
    600-level courses are approved for qualifying education.  All qualifying education courses are approved for continuing education.
    700-level courses are approved for in-class continuing education.
    900-level courses are approved for on-line or distance continuing education.

 
    The 15-hour National USPAP will be course number 600.
    The in-class 7-hour National USPAP Update will be course number 700.
    The on-line 7-hour National USPAP Update will be course number 900.

 
    If you have questions about a course’s approval, you should contact the Board.
